Looking back on 2007

Some highlights from the past year:

• In October Salon M² became a REDKEN Club 5th Avenue Elite Salon. There are 115 Elite salons in the U.S. and only 1 in the state of Alabama (yes, that’s us!).
• In August we were named as nominees for the Global Salon Business Award’s Entrepreneurs of the Year (the winners will be announced in March…we’ll keep you posted).
• Our team grew with the additions of Richard, Lori, and Haley (stylists), Becca (stylist in training), and Victoria (support staff).
• We conducted four in-salon continuing education workshops, featuring REDKEN artists and educators from various parts of the U.S. If you’ve visited our site before, you already know that continuing education is one of our top priorities.
• Our business grew by an amazing (and humbling) 39% last year! Thanks to all who were a part of our phenomenal growth.

Upcoming in 2008

• We have partnered with two other REDKEN salons and are bringing in REDKEN National Artists Daniel Dhoud (in February) and Sam Villa (in May) for hands-on workshops. Daniel is noted as one of the leading color artists in the country, and Sam in the head of REDKEN’s National Creative Team.
• In September, Ann Mincey, REDKEN’s Vice President of Global Communications, will be in our salon for conducting a class on living, learning, and earning better.
• Evan and her husband Tim are expecting their first child in April! We’ll keep you posted as this story grows!
